Octo Octa - She’s Calling EP

She's Calling is the first bit of material that I've heard from Octo Octa. Impressed is the right word. Octo Octa is one of those acts where a deeper dive into ones work seems necessary from the get-go. Deep House/Breakbeat with a beautiful sound effects of the more amorphic state. Serene and free of form. If this sounds like your kind of thing then give it a go!

She's Calling is musically bare bones but well executed. A prime example of how to keep music relatively simple and still provide enough to capture a thoughtful and engaging experience. There's enough here to enjoy at its basic level of enjoyment. If you wish to explore it on a deeper level there's plenty to bathe and bask in. It exists on the two planes of pleasure. It's safe to say it scratches an itch, that's for sure. Swells of atmospheric delight flow through smoothly as the tracks make their way to their destination. That destination quite possibly being heaven or somewhere of similar sanctity.

This greatly reminds me of Eris Drew's 'Fluids of Emotion' released in 2020. It has the same feel and sense of soft exploration as this EP. Unsurprisingly enough it looks as if the two have actually collaborated in the not so distant past and are a part of the same 'T4T LUV NRG' label!
