The Dismemberment Plan - Emergency & I

Pop Punk meets Post-Hardcore as The Dismemberment Plan perfectly align the sweet and sour; the beauty of the intricate and the angst of the uncertain. As life moves on, and different ways of life, and with it the different ways to stay in and out of touch, present themselves, the floor can feel like it's on one. Each step finds struggle, each struggle finds opportunity - the tides will never not continue.

Have you ever aligned yourself with what you're meant to be doing at the right time in the right place with the right people? Your senses connect with your wants and needs in the right way to convey the right amount of adequate fulfilment? Breathing is a little less restrictive. A little deeper. A content ooze permeates your being. Not necessarily 'happy' - definition dependent - but alright with the way things have gone on to become, and go. That's what Emergency & I is. With the right backdrop to convey the subtleties and qualms of the soul, words come together in a seeming seamless manner - environment births the goods.

Red wire, right temple. Black wire, left temple. You can't say it, but you know that it's ending. Happiness is such hard work and harder everyday and it can kill you. How can a body move the speed of light, still find itself in such a rut?

Moody machines whimper, huff and puff. Gone askew and fed up with their purpose. Whatever purpose was laid upon them - picked by the hands of those that own them. No choice. No decisions. The trash goes out on a Tuesday now. Small talk which drips with spite. Frustration. A loving frustration. What do you WANT me to SAY? What do you WANT me to DO? Back and forth and back and forth and back and forth and back.

Emergency & Us. Emergency & I.
